Fantastic London

Gate Lock - Hampton Court Gardens

Wonderful London

The beginning of my Liberty stash !
Last weekend I had a trip to London on my own to see my brother and his wife. Aaron greeted me at Liverpool St Station and we whizzed down on the tube to dinner at a gorgeous little restaurant around the corner from their flat called Entree, the food was delicious and the service was really wonderful. On Saturday we visited the gardens at Hampton Court Palace, I was taken with the lock on the gate in the photo. Afterwards we caught the train back into the centre of London and visited Covent Garden and had a sneek peek at the newley decorated Savoy Hotel. Out the front of the Savoy we helped a poor man that had fallen and smashed is face on a concrete garden bed and broken his hand. I hope that Mr Buckinham is on the mend now.

Sunday started with Karen's fantastic porridge and then a bus trip into Liberty of London (OMG), I spend a few pounds on fabric and joined the mailing list. It is a beautiful tudor style store which is 6 floors of Liberty loveliness, a must visit if you have any kind of crafty bone in your body.  We rode on tubes, shopped, and ended up for dinner at another great place called the Establishment - we had delicious burgers and a glass of vino. If I could have I would have bought the moose picture on the wall (have a look at the website).

Thanks to Aaron and Karen for showing me the best of London and introducing me to Jan Constantine - I just had to have a hand stitched felt Union Jack bag !
