Quilting Block Swap

I joined a quilting swap group a few weeks ago and so far it is a lot of fun. Over the next 16 months we will all create a quilt for each other (there are 16 girls in the swap), block by block. On the first Wednesday of the month, the person nominated for that month sends out fabric to the other 15 members and instructions on what they would like them to make with their fabric. The block size can not be larger than a 14" square and you have to use the fabric sent to you and include something of your own stash. By the end of the 16 months we all end up with enough squares to make a queen size bed quilt - wonderful fun and I am sure I will make a few friends along the way. We have girls from LA to Canberra  and a few places in between.

This month it was my friend Felicity in Canberra's turn, she sent out black, red and white fabric, I made her appliqued Stars in the Garden. Twinkle Twinkle little star, hope she loves her quilt thus far !
