Cygnet Folk Festival

We had the most fantastic day in Cygnet yesterday at the 29th Annual Cygnet Folk Festival. We saw some amazing acts including Alma Da Vida (Spanish Fusion) with well known Tassie  flamenco guitarist Paul Gerard.
The park was over flowing with families listening to the free acts in the park including the amazing Taiko Drums Group, amazing to watch.
In the evening we wandered up to the middle pub and saw the Bruny Island New Orleans Jazz Band and The To'rags, Celtic Music with traditional jigs and reels. Along with a cute market in the park and wonderful Tassie produce food stalls, we had a beautiful day. It was warm and windy and settled into a still evening when the streets filled with fire dancers and a few hippies. A fantastic day and I can recommend the festival to anyone travelling to this part of the world in January.
