Mollie Makes Addiction

I recently discovered this gorgeous magazine on the way to work one morning. Despite the crazy price tag as it is a UK Import I can't help but jump for joy when a new issue has finally arrived. Packed with cute things to make, inspiration and time out for a few minutes to get totally lost in a creative world...

Favourite Finds

I love when I stumble across a coffee shop that I have not ventured into. Lucy is equally as excited when we find somewhere groovy to hang out, have a coffee, colour in and watch the world go by. Today we stumbled across Stimulatte, cute name and the coffee was good. The food looked great but we were just after a quick coffee. The service at first was somewhat muddled but they were smiley and there was a lovely vibe so I was not bothered at all. There were lots of groovy people sitting around enjoying their morning fix and with the sun just starting to appear it was nice to sit in the window and people watch. I would go back, and take friends with me or a magazine and sit, in the window... on my own.

Garage Sale Find

I love garage sales, think I have inherited it from my Dad. Yesterday the neighbours had a sale and I restricted myself to these identical vintage oil bottles. I just love the lids, the little pin in the top comes out and they still smell like Sandalwood. What a bargain for $2.

Bye Facebook

Today I decided to say goodbye to facebook. It is nice to see photos and what friends are up to but I find it very impersonal and just 'not me'. I am a write letters and send cards kind of girl (as my good friends know) and I prefer the old fashioned way of keeping in touch.
Having said that I love my blog and other peoples blogs and that is about as technical as I will get for now.

Party Days

Lucy is turning 3 tomorrow so we had a little party for her special day ! There was loads of magic in the garden with a chocolate coin treasure hunt, pass the parcel full of pink lolly pops and all of Lucy's friends were dressed up in fantastic costumes. We had a'Tinkerbell shack' birthday cake (photos to come) and lots of yummy food to share. The kids had a ball and so did Lucy.  She was so lucky and got some beautiful presents. Thank you to everyone that made her day so special.

This little image takes me back to my childhood. I turned 39 yesterday and I was thinking about all the things I loved as a little girl. Strawberry Shortcake and Holly Hobby were big favourites. I bought my favourite magazine today and found an article on Lark, a gorgeous store in Victoria. I looked up the Lark website and what should I find but a new range called Daisy Lane! I then discovered the georgeous Lark Blog - dont you just love the web, it takes you forward and takes you back...

All Workee No Fun

I am sitting at work feeling crafty and can do nothing about it. I have had a peek at my favourite little crafty blogs and want to be home more than ever right now finishing projects that are stashed in my cupboard waiting to be finished and admired.
I have tried to figure out if I can stitch and type and look like I am working but actually being crafty... now if I could pull that off, it would be crafty.

Selvedge Magazine

Selvedge is a beautiful magazine that my good friend Daniela sent me from the UK, what a great pressie for a craft nut. I had seen it here in one of my favourite haunts, Calico & Ivy and thought "oh I would love that". It is full of inspirational stories, beautiful pictures and ideas to keep you going for a lifetime. I particularly wanted this issue as it was their quilting issue. After our adventures overseas, I am going to subscribe.

Currently I am working on another felt Babushka Doll.
